The adventuresome life of a Great Pyrenees/Newfoundland dog in Northwestern Ontario


Stella the bookshop dog has canine epilepsy. You might know that already if you’ve been following her blog. When she posted about it, we met a woman in Washington state who had written a book about her experience with her yellow lab, Cory, and how they resorted to natural treatments for the serious affliction.

Stella is like child to me, and I’ve been having a really tough time watching her go through first the seizures and then the side effects of the drugs she needs to take to keep them under control – drugs that work for a month or two then need dosage hikes to remain effective. It’s a heartbreaking situation in Stella’s case – drug her or lose her. She’s not yet three years old.
