The adventuresome life of a Great Pyrenees/Newfoundland dog in Northwestern Ontario

Wildflower Wednesday 4

A very wet and windy week, so we didn’t get many for you to see. Elizabeth is hoping to catch up over the next couple of days, in between gardening tasks… We did go on a very brief photo safari yesterday, though, and here’s what we found:

Canada Mayflower - Maianthemum canadense

  1. oh wood strawberries… they are great. sadly we never find enough for a cake :o)

    • BOL. Elizabeth says she knows exactly what you mean! That would take a lot of these little berries… But they are so much more flavour-packed than domestic strawberries. Uh oh. The Scribe is drooling on the keyboard…

  2. the honeysuckle is lovely:-)

    • It is pretty. We have a native species here which I hope Elizabeth will show later. The deer (also invasive) have eaten so much of our ground cover plants into oblivion here, sadly. So this is a hunt!
